Healthy Start Scheme

If you’re pregnant or have children under four and receive certain benefits, you could get help towards the cost of fruit, vegetables, milk and vitamins.

Free School Meals

Depending on your income and benefits, your child may be entitled to free school meals, helping reduce household costs and ensuring children receive a healthy meal during the school day.

30 Hours Free Childcare

Eligible working parents of 9 months –4 year olds may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week, reducing nursery and childcare expenses.

Child Benefit

If you’re responsible for raising a child under 16 (or under 20 if they stay in approved education), you could receive regular payments to help with everyday costs.

Tax-Free Childcare

For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government adds £2 — up to £2,000 per child each year — helping reduce the cost of childcare.

Council Tax Support

Depending on your income and circumstances, you may be able to reduce your council tax bill through your local authority.

Pension Credit

If you’re over State Pension age and on a low income, Pension Credit can top up your weekly income. It may also unlock additional support with housing costs, council tax and energy bills.

Help to Save

If you receive certain benefits, you can earn a government bonus of up to 50% on the money you save over four years. A simple way to build a financial cushion.

Household Support Fund

Local councils may provide emergency financial support for essentials such as food, clothing or energy costs if you’re struggling.

Blue Badge

If you or a family member has a disability or health condition affecting mobility, you may qualify for a Blue Badge to help with parking and accessibility.

Carer’s Allowance

If you care for someone for at least 35 hours a week, you may be eligible for financial support to recognise your caring responsibilities.

Bereavement Support Payment

If your partner has died, you may be entitled to financial support to help manage during an incredibly difficult time.
